Pastor Marc and the Elders issue a Challenge to the Life Together Groups

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.  Ephesians 2:10 NIV

Our hearts yearn to make a difference – to do something good – something that makes the world a better place.  Our hearts yearn to bring blessing into the world because God designed for us such a mission, re-created us in Christ Jesus for that mission, and calls us to pursue that mission.  We want to be involved in ministry, not meetings.

For this reason, Pastor Marc and the elders of Quail Lakes Baptist Church are issuing a challenge and offering a $200 ministry grant to every Life Together Group that wants to accept the challenge.  To accept the challenge, a Life Together Group (LTG) must commit itself to do the following:

  1. The LTG leader will attend the “GO Training” on Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Quail Activity Center.
  2. The LTG members decide on a “GO Activity” - they will look at the needs in their network of relationships and choose at least one need that they will minister to using the $200.
  3. The LTG will use the $200 in a “GO Activity” before Palm Sunday, March 28, 2010.
  4. The LTG will give a brief, written report to Pastor Marc about how it used the $200 and how the ministry went.  The report is due to Pastor Marc by Easter, April 4, 2010.  If possible, please include photos and/or a 3 minute video of the “GO Activity.”
