Ministries Students Children and Family Children's Ministry Policies

safe kids

Here at Quail, we want to assure you that the safety and well being of your children is always on our mind.

Our rooms are continuously updated guided by safety regulations. Each room has at least one staff member who is CPR and First Aid certified. All of our staff and volunteers have had thorough background checks.

Children ages 0 through fourth grade will never be released after class or services, an adult must pick the children up.

Check-In Procedures

  • It is our desire to provide both safe and secure environment for your child. To enable us to do this we would appreciate you help in the following ways…

When You Arrive

  • Each child, ages 0-5 must be checked in by a parent. You may follow the instructions posted at computer check in station, this stations are staffed if you need assistance.
  • You will receive a pager and a security badge for each child and a parent’s security badge with your child’s corresponding code on it.
  • Place your child’s tag on his/her back and be sure to label any items that your child brings.
  • Please keep your pager on your person so if your child needs you, you will feel it vibrate.

Pick-up Procedures

  • When picking up your child present parent’s security badge to the teacher. Please remember we will only release the child to an adult who has the comparable parent’s security badge. Pagers may be returned as you enter the preschool building.

Sickness Policy

Please do not bring your child to class if they have had any of the following with the last 24 hours…

  • Fever
  • Green runny nose
  • Diarrhea
  • Coughing
  • Any Contagious Disease
  • Rash (not including diaper rash)
  • For children being treated with an antibiotic, please wait 24 hours before returning them to class.
  • Lice - children must be free and clear of any signs of lice.

Parent Volunteer Policy

  • Our Children's Ministry is a Co-Op Ministry
  • Parents are expected to serve once a quarter in our Children's Department, per child. This is for 0 - 6th grade. A family with more than two children is expected to serve no more than  twice a quarter.
