Team Leader: Cindy Bender
The size of this year’s team is 20
This year’s team cost/person is $458
2012 marks the second short term mission that Cindy Bender has led to Rancho Sordo Mudo. While she has been to the “Ranch” multiple times with various groups, this year’s group has the potential to be very special. Most people who attend Quail know of Cindy Bender as the “signing lady!” Cindy is the director of the Deaf ministry and is a board certified and registered ASL interpreter. Interpreting is not just what she does, it is one aspect of who she is. Quail would not have a deaf ministry at all, let alone one with the impact in the community if it were not for the passion of Cindy to share the Good News of Jesus to the deaf community.
This year the team has the unique opportunity to meet the dental needs of the “Ranch.” Every time a short term mission is put together, the talents of those who are led to join present new ways to serve. This year several people in the dental field have expressed their desire to use their talents. Since the Ranch has a fully equipped dental office on site, this talent and the opportunity come together to fulfill this need. The team’s arrival coincides with the beginning of the Ranch’s school year, so the timing couldn’t be better!
There is room for anyone, you don't have to be a dentist or a dental hygienists to go to the ranch!
You might ask, “What skills do I need? “
The answer to that is, “A willing heart, a servant’s heart, a desire to help others.”
Come by the table in the lobby this Sunday,April 22nd where you can pick up the necessary forms to apply for the Rancho Sordo Mudo Adult/Deaf Short term Mission.
