The Reason for God by Tim Keller Taught by Adam Doi 11:30 AM Room A-209
In order to reach people in our city with the Gospel, we are offering an Apologetics class. We will study Tim Keller’s book, The Reason for God, and explore the arguments against Christianity put forth by skeptics and those who are disillusioned with the church. The Reason for God is “World Magazine’s” 2008 book of the year and a “New York Times” best seller. Following Keller’s example, we aim to equip the body of Christ to engage people with the truth of the Gospel in the context of its opposing arguments.

The Way is the first study in the Beginning the Walk series by Navpress. This course introduces the challenges likely to be encountered in a new and growing faith in Jesus Christ and provides the tools to overcome them. Meet our new Adult Education Superintendent – Jeff Hawley
As you know, our brother John Edenfield has retired from his position as Coordinator of Adult Education.That leaves a huge gap in our work force.
Two men have stepped forward as volunteers to help fill that gap: Jeff Hawley and Brian Schneider.(You can see more about Brian on the Prime Time webpage.)
Jeff Hawley will serve as Adult Education Superintendent. In that capacity he will oversee our adult classes on Sunday morning and at Prime Time on Wednesdays. Jeff will provide support for our teachers, assist with texts and topics, arrange for classroom space and scheduling, manage the attendance records and provide for publicity.
Jeff and his wife Martha came to Quail in the fall of 2008 and were received as members in October of 2009. Jeff is a native of Stockton and has spent most of his career as a teacher in Stockton Unified School District. Jeff is currently retired, but the school district continues to call him back for special jobs. Jeff also has a Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary and served for a while as a Presbyterian pastor. Jeff has a heart passion to bring people to Christ and help them grow as disciples.
I am grateful to Jeff for his desire to serve.
