Men's Ministry
God created men to reflect God's goodness, glory, power and wisdom. The Men's Ministry at Quail Lakes Baptist Church is discovering the joy and adventure of what that is all about. We would like to have you join us on the journey. The mission of the Men’s Ministry at Quail Lakes Baptist Church is to win and build men as passionate lifelong followers of Jesus Christ. Join Us for the New Men’s Prime Time
Wednesdays, Sept. 8 - Nov. 17, 2010, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Room A-118
Discussion guide: $8. Scholarships available where needed.
Leader: Pastor Jim Eikenberry
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 NIV
Over and over again God encourages his men to “be strong and courageous.” They must have been tempted to fear or they would not have needed that encouragement. We live in a fearful world. There are layoffs at work, slowdowns in the economy, terrorism, downturns in the housing market, life and family fall apart. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if God would give you the power to overcome your insecurities, your doubts, and your anxieties? Can you imagine a life without fear? God has a plan that is made to work, and it is made to work with men like us. Join other men in our church as we deepen our faith and walk in courage together. We will track along with Pastor Marc’s sermons on Fearless., and go deeper into the study using Max Lucado’s small group discussion guide.

As believers in God we have biblical principles that apply to our lives, one of which is being a servant in our Church, Family, community and place of employment.
Resolve to:
1. Understand that God has provided you with a gift or talent that can be used to further this ministry.
2. Teach your children about serving. This is a gift that provides for others and instills joy in the servant.
3. Time is precious and in need. Make time to serve in your church, school or community.
4. Seek the elderly in your neighborhood that may need home repairs or yard maintenance.
5. Be a positive example of Christ. Care for others and be available to listen or assist others in need.
6. Pray that the city of Stockton creates positive change. Understand that it happens one person at a time and begins with you.
