...Then Yes!!! Quail Lakes MOPS is for you!

What Is MOPS??

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a program designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten.

MOPS is all about moms. It is a safe, loving environment where moms have the opportunity to make new friends, share experiences, and laugh together.

MOPS is a brief reprieve from being chef, chauffeur, maid and housekeeper. A time to sit, talk, visit, learn and share.

All moms are welcomed; moms from different backgrounds, all who share a similar desire to be the very best mom she can be.

MOPPETS

Free quality childcare is provided by loving and nurturing volunteers through the MOPPETS program. These volunteers are carefully selected and are excited to serve because they share in our passions for encouraging mothers and caring for their children. The children are divided into age appropriate classes.

Their teachers help them experience God's love for them through planned activities such as games, stories, crafts, music and physical play. Nursing infants may remain with mom.

This Year

In 2011, MOPS invites you to join in the learning process as together we explore: Momology, the art and science of mothering.

Mothering is both art and science. It combines all of us who we are to shape healthy, resilient kids. Mothering is so complex it requires both sides of our brain - not to mention our hands and feet, eyes and ears, mouth and (sniff, sniff) unfortunately, sometimes even our noses!

There's the scientific side of mothering where we develop a hypothesis based on certain principles, test that hypothesis in real-time, consider the results and decide what parts worked and what parts didn't. We keep refining our hypothesis until we find what works for us.

Intertwined with the scientific, mothering requires an artistry that shades with our personality, colors with our unique gifts, and blends past and current experiences.

MOPS Meetings

We meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month September to May from 9:00 - 11:00 am. A typical meeting includes a delicious breakfast, guest speakers and fun creative activities. It's a great place to connect with other moms.

Your first meeting is FREE, so please come and check us out!
