The family of Quail Lakes Baptist Church will experience change that will feel like a sudden storm in the summer of 2015.  However, be assured that in this process the Lord is working and He has His hand on the process.

Now that I have your interest, let me tell you the specifics.  At the end of June, 2015 we will see stepping away from staff roles by Bev Ducharme, Sue Eikenberry and Jim Eikenberry.  All of these folks have been true and dedicated servants for the Lord’s work here at Quail for many years and they will be missed.  Bev and Sue both are of retirement age and feel that is the next step and Jim believes that it is a good time for him to join Sue in a new future.

Bev started her work, as a volunteer, 23 years ago.  Over the years, she has seen the growth of the Counseling Ministry which is so close to her heart, and the Women’s Ministry to which she gives her time and passion.

Both Sue and Jim have been here about 10 years (wow how time flies).  Taken together, they have given guidance and oversight to the Women’s and Men’s Ministries, Counseling, Prayer, Discipleship, and Body Life.  In Sue’s words, “… it has been quite a ride!”

We will be taking the next few months to plan departure events for these faithful servants as they will each work to ready their area for a hand off to new leadership.  I am sure that God has much more in store for each of them as they seek to serve Him.  New adventures await!

These departures are part of the natural life flow of the church.  They show us that God has a plan for Quail that is ongoing and subject to change at His leadership.  So, pray for the Elders and myself as we consider our next steps in terms of structure and staffing. Pray that we find the will of the Lord and thus His blessing.

Thank you for being a part of this wonderful family of faith.
