SENIOR ADULT LEGACY TEAM

The purpose of all events created by the Senior Adult Ministry (SALT) at Quail Lakes Baptist Church is to win and build passionate, lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.  We hope you and your friends will join us soon!

We have openings for a few good men and women on the SALT Commission Board.  Search your heart and see if this is for you!  Qualifications:  Age 50 by your last birthday and a servants heart.

Handyman Services

• SALT is in the process of starting up a handyman ministry to serve those who need smaller handyman projects done around the home and cannot do it themselves.  Contact MariKay at the church office for more information

• Flying Solo
• Game Night - Invite your friends for a fun night out!  Game Night is on second Friday of each month at 7:00pm in W-410-411 If you are not game savvy, have no fears, we will teach you how to play!  Light refreshments will be served and all games will be provided.  No partners are needed .
• Men’s Coffee Klatch - Tuesday mornings at 9:30am
  Join the men’s Coffee Klatch in A-112 for coffee and a great time of fellowship.  We will be catching up on current events and local news, so bring your ideas to share.

• The Golden Tones

Join the Golden Tones, our Senior Adult Choir!  There are no auditions, and new singers are always welcome.  Practice every Wednesday at 5:30 in W-410-411.

Education

• Life Line Screenings -- offered 1-2 times per year at QLBC.  Life Line Screening provides non-invasive, completely painless screenings using Doppler ultrasound technology: Stroke Screening/ Carotid Artery; Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening; Peripheral Arterial Disease Screening; and an osteoporosis screening. Pre-registration is required.  Call 1-800-324-1851.

• Palm Springs Follies -- last chance to register is March 16

  • A wonderful stage show presented by retired professional entertainers ranging in age from 54 to 87!  We will travel by bus down to Palm Springs on the 15th, attend a matinee show on the 16th, leave early on the 17th with a 2 hour visit to the Palm Springs Air Museum, returning to the church by early evening.  Cost includes everything but food ranging anywhere from $115 to $240/person.

• Servants Week at Hume Lake -- May 12 - 15, 2008

  • Cost is only $50 which includes room and GREAT food and a willing heart to serve!  If you have ever wanted to go on a missions trip and thought you couldn't, here is your chance!

• Phantom of the Opera -- June 7, 2008 (Saturday Matinee)

  • Cost is $45 which includes ticket and transportation.

  • We will be stopping for dinner after the show (not included in price)
