Hello from Lisbon! We wanted to send a quick update regarding our recent prayer requests:
- We’ve added more kernels to our prayer jar! – Many of you have emailed us to say that you have prayed for us. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Keep them coming!
- Pray for our Vision and Planning meetings this week – Starting tomorrow through Sunday, our team will have a series of meetings where we will discuss long term vision and planning for our team. Our area and regional leaders, Mike Davis and Brian Bennetch will be leading us in these meetings.
Some of the topics we will cover are…..(1) The ministry context here in Portugal/Lisbon, specifically as it relates to churches and church planting, (2) Our team’s unique gifting and role in Lisbon, (3) Our team’s vision for what we feel like God is calling us to accomplish in Lisbon, and (4) Developing some long-range goals to help us accomplish that vision.
We are praying that these would not just be interesting discussions about our future ministry, but that our conversation, thoughts, and dreams for ministry would be God directed and Spirit led. Join us in praying toward this end!
- Still on the search for a minivan – We are still looking for a good vehicle for the growing Shoe family. We have a couple leads, but nothing solid yet. Baby Shoe #3 is due in about 2 ½ weeks. He seems to be doing fine. Traci is doing well.
- Residency Renewal – We got our residency renewed for two more years! The process went pretty smoothly. Thank you Lord!
