Girls of Grace

Girls of Grace is a mother-daughter group that meets monthly on the fourth Friday at 7 pm at various Starbucks locations. This group has been meeting since 2003 but is changing its format. Open to moms with daughters in grades 6-8, we do a book study on tween girls and help them to grow in their spiritual walk, along with fun activities. This is a time for moms to support each other and our daughters to build solid Christian friendships. For more information, please contact Tammy at 209-507-5370.

The changing of seasons has to be one of God’s greatest blessings. Think about it, every three months, we get to embrace a new season. From the bone chilling cold of winter comes spring with its melodic sound of birds, vibrant and colorful flowers, and the sweet taste of strawberries. From the lazy days of summer comes the cool, crisp air of fall and the mouth-watering meals of turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie.

Fall is a season for giving thanks and new beginnings. New clothes, new teachers, new things to learn, and new things to do. What ever happened last season is over and new opportunities await. As your oldest child begins 3rd grade and your baby starts school, you wonder where time has gone and how did they grow up so quickly. It’s also a time for you to consider this new season of you. I love Ecclesiastes 3. It reminds us that for everything there is a season.

A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. A time to embrace and a time to turn away. A time to search and a time to quit searching. A time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak.

What season of life are you in? Should you become involved with other women by joining a Bible study or being involved in Moms Together? As the leaves transform from brilliant green, to radiant red, and vibrant yellow what changes do you want to take place in your life during this season? Do you want your family to be more organized this school year? Is one of your goals to have dinner as a family, around the table? Do you desire less running around and more being around? While you are packing lunches, buying clothes and getting the kids ready for a new school year, please know that God is with you through every season of life and that you are never alone. There are moms who feel what you feel and want to share life experiences with you.

Greetings Sisters,

We are living in a social climate that is highly charged. Anything and everything said is being dissected to find something to offend someone. Decorum has been thrown by the wayside. It seems like a dark cloud is hovering over our nation with no hope in sight. As Christians, we are fortunate not to rely on the world for our hope, for we have hope in Jesus Christ our Savior, and this is how we should live. “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” (Colossians 3:12-13)

As followers of Christ, we are appointed to be examples for those who do not know him. So ladies, with the most important command in the Bible embedded in our hearts, “LOVE,” let’s hit the ground running and show everyone what it resembles to be God’s chosen, royalty in His kingdom.

In Christ,

Nicole Churchill
Women’s Ministry Coordinator

Moms Together

This is a great opportunity to build relationships and invite other moms from your community or workplace to join us. Every mom needs to be encouraged in the most important role she plays in the lives of her children and family.

Childcare is provided. The one-time registration fee covers crafts, food and supplies for the children, gifts, and many special surprises. Single-semester and full-year registration options are available. Register for the 2018-2019 season today!
