At Quail Lakes Baptist Church we have a desire to win and build passionate, life long followers of Jesus Christ in the Deaf community. We have created a place that offers resources to engage socially, gain spiritual enrichment, and provide a platform to bridge the gap between the hearing and the Deaf communities.

Here at Quail Lakes Baptist Church, we want you to know that this is a place where you are welcomed and desired and we feel that without your presence we are not complete.

Our church has been absolutely blessed to have the dynamic, and gifted Cindy Bender serving in the Worship Arts Ministries as our Director of Deaf Ministry. Cindy comes to us with a list of qualifications and experience that goes well above the average interpreter. Cindy is a nationally Certified Interpreter by RID, and has earned a specialist certificate in Legal and NAD level V Masters. She has been a free lance Certified Interpreter for the last 28 years, holds a Jr. College lifetime Teaching Credential and former CEO of NorCal Center on Deafness. Along with extensive credentials and knowledge, Cindy comes with a heart for the Lord, a commitment to the Deaf community and a passion for relating the love of God to the Deaf.

 

Worship Service:
We invite you to come and sign along to the exciting and captivating worship songs during the 10:00am service lead by our Worship Pastor Marshan Moultry and the Choir. Draw close to our Lord and find strength and joy as we worship together. Learn what God’s will is and His desires for your life through the enriching Word of God as taught by our Senior Pastor Dr. Marc Maffucci. We have a wonderful team of interpreters that sign the worship and message every Sunday.

 

Sunday School:
Our deaf Sunday School class meets weekly at 11:30am in room A-102. It is taught using ASL by two of our Deaf members and they are currently studying the Old Testament. This is a group where you can come and grow no matter where you are in your spiritual walk with God. This class also provides a place of support, where people are praying for you and with you. They welcome new people anytime of the year.

 

Classes:
We offer ASL classes throughout the year to our church family and anyone in the community that would like to learn the basics of sign language. When a class is starting it will be advertised in the bulletin as well on the website so check back!
