Covid Ministry Update from Pastor Randy

Care Ministry—our health ministry team has been very active on Sunday mornings ensuring the health and safety of our Quail family. They set up two health stations each week in the plaza area taking temperatures and making (free) masks and sanitizer available. We have also teamed up with the Outreach team to reach out to our local hospital staffs. Right now, we are in the midst of our annual Operation Christmas Care mission to bless Quail family members who are serving in the military. In our Visitation Ministry, one team is making calls to those they have developed relationships with over time who are in nursing homes or home bound. Our hospital visitation team is going to making calls to those hospitalized. So please give us a heads up if you or a loved one plan to be, or are, hospitalized. Visitation Training will next be offered in March 2021.

Counseling Ministry—our Lay Counseling Ministry is operating again exercising care, caution and safety. If you would like to set up an appointment with a lay counselor, call 209-951-2645. Presently, our lay counselors are seeing individuals only. Couple counseling has not resumed yet.
The second half of the Lay Counseling Training was postponed and is rescheduled for October 8-10.

Grief Share and Divorce Care support groups are underway using Zoom on Thursday evenings. Now is a good time to join one of these groups. Email to get plugged in.
The lay coaching ministry is able to serve you through telephone appointments. If you are wanting to set goals, make decisions, take action and move forward, call 209-257-8768.

Equipping/Mobilizing—the Divine Design Workshop started a new cohort on September 20th on Zoom. We are in the process of rescheduling the Leadership Enrichment Workshop on Self-Care for our Quail leadership community hoping to hold it in late October.

Worship Support—we’re thankful for our ushers who have adapted to the new set up and procedures on Sunday mornings. We’re looking into how we can have baptisms and we’ll keep you posted.
