Did You Think to Pray?

For those of you who did not attend this past Ladies Night you missed a real treat. The title was “Life Line” where we learned that God is our life line. Robin Gordon explained that He wants a relationship with us and the only way we have access to this life line is through prayer. Our theme verse reads as such:

“This is God’s Message, the God who made earth, made it livable and lasting, known everywhere as God: ‘Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.’” (Jeremiah 33:2-3 The Message)

Deuteronomy 4:7 tells us “our God is near us when we pray.”

Prayer is something we should not be afraid of. You don’t need a doctorate to do it. It is simple; there are no special words. Dana Sovinec led praise and worship and highlighted 3 points to prayer:

  • Be still
  • Be honest
  • Be real

We have the perfect example of prayer by the one who prayed all the time, Jesus. If we are to aspire to be Christ like, we must follow in His footsteps. We will never be perfect like Him but we can achieve a prayer life that is modeled after His.

If you would like to explore or expand your prayer life, we would like to invite you to “Connect” with us at Saturday Morning with Jesus where we will continue our pursuit of prayer.

Let’s follow Paul’s final advice to the Thessalonians: “Never stop Praying!” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

In Christ,
