NorCal Fires Disaster Relief

Dear Quail Family,

Our hearts are breaking as we witness the many calamities that our world is going through right now. Close to home however we feel deep sorrow for the many victims of the NorCal fires. At this writing it sees hundreds have lost homes and entire communities have been decimated. We all feel like we should do something! What should we do?

It is in times like this that the words of John Wesley come to my mind. He said, “pray as if everything depends on prayer and then work as if everything depends on work.” Surely we must pray for God in His mercy to be with those who are suffering. But how shall we work?

Today I announce that Quail Lakes Baptist Church is financially partnering with the California Southern Baptist Disaster Relief organization to support their efforts in reaching out to the fire victims. They are already on-scene and giving aid.
