Recently, I fell apart. I was melting in a very cold way and I couldn’t get a grip on my emotions.
Has that ever happened to you?? You’re going about your day and SMACK. Out of nowhere you begin to melt. You need to run. You need to leave your comfortable chair and just get away. You don’t want anyone to see you lose it. But where do you go when you have so much to do?So many are depending on you to keep it together. What happens when you receive a call from a stranger and they tell you things that put you on the edge of despair? Do you push it down on top of the many other things you are NOT dealing with, hoping you can be rational when it emerges again?
If it were not for a dear friend coming to my side and praying with me, I’m not sure what would have happened. I needed her at that very minute.
We are all in need of each other. We have been tested and challenged to stay connected, while at the same time being told to stay apart. We have gotten creative with our meetings and our outings. We have been vaccinated and masked in order to get “back to normal.” No matter where we are in life we need to remember to stay connected to God. We do what we need to do in order to stay close to God and to others, so that we can remain strong and be used by Him.
Find your special person, join a small group, keep in contact with the ones you love. Nurture those friendships by staying connected.
