For more than 30 years Quail’s Lay/Peer Counseling has offered Christ-centered help and hope to the Stockton community. We believe that in an accepting and confidential atmosphere, people can gain insights and sort out their needs. Our Lay/Peer Counselors are non-licensed, non-professional volunteers trained to provide active listening, reflective questions, active goal setting, biblical support, and spiritual care. The Lay/Peer Counseling Ministry will refer counselees to counseling professionals when doing so best serves the needs of the counselee.

We generally offer between 6 and 10 weekly sessions. Counseling hours are Monday – Friday between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm. Limited evening appointments may be scheduled September – November and February – May. All sessions are held at the church office.

Support provided by the Lay/Peer Counseling Ministry will be consistent with the beliefs and positions of Quail Lakes Baptist Church, which holds to a historic, Christian, biblical worldview on matters of life, faith, marriage, sexuality, and gender.
