What is Refresh?
Refresh is QLBC’s Wednesday night service for Young Adults. Our Young Adult Ministry has several Bible studies that meet throughout the week but Refresh is our primary meeting time. Refresh is a time of teaching, worship, discussion, and fellowship. Refresh meets every Wednesday night in Room E-303, “theAttic” from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. The primary goal of Refresh is to provide a midweek environment that anyone can come to, unplug from their crazy lives, dive into God's Word, sing praises to our God, and build those relationships with other Young Adults that are so important in our life.
Who is Refresh for?
Refresh is for any young adults, 18-35, who are looking for a place to escape their crazy weeks with a midweek service designed to not just lift up your spirit but to raise up your knowledge of and love for God. Our age range is large and one of the best parts of our ministry is the vast range of life experience on any given week. We have young adults who are single, married, working, full time students, and even young adults with children.
Childcare is provided at no expense if you do have small children.
What can I expect?
If you attend one of our Refresh services, you should expect to be greeted with a smile at the door. Our service is roughly an hour and a half, with an hour at the end for fellowship and social hangout. Each week the format is relatively the same. We start with a 30-minute message given by Brandon Smith, the Director of Young Adults, which leads into a time of small group discussions with prepared questions made to piggyback off the message. At the end of the discussion times the small groups end in a time of prayer. The evening is concluded with corporate worship led by our own Refresh Worship Team.
